FULL SCHEDULE IMAGE FALL 21.png

Sometimes the hard part is imagining what you want to write before you write it. Sometimes the hard part is getting an editor to see your vision too. What’s the protocol? What matters most? In this two-part seminar, we’ll talk to a panel of editors and writers who routinely work together about best practices when it comes to pitching stories. The second part of class, we'll spend in an intensive how-to session led by Lindsey DeLoach Jones, crafting a pitch that's ready to send.

Blair Knobel is the editor-in-chief of TOWN magazine.

Evan Smith is a reporter for The Greenville Journal.

Sherry Jackson is a vice-president at Community Journals.

Lindsey DeLoach Jones is the co-founder of WRITESHARE and the Writer-in-Residence at the SC Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities.
