Architects have blueprints. Travelers have maps. Writers have their first fifty pages. This workshop is for writers at work on book-length manuscripts in fiction and narrative non-fiction, the first in a series of courses designed to help you draft, edit, place and promote your novel, collection or memoir. This course will focus on the key elements of a long story that get established in the beginning. Workshop style conversation and critique concentrating on tension, character development, pace and timing, providing concrete plans for how to get where you’re going.
Limited to 6 students with 35-50 pages of workshop material in fiction, creative nonfiction or poetry.
