The truth is, we named it BLINDSPOT BOOK CLUB because we like alliteration… but this isn’t your traditional book club. This 4-week course is a collaborative workshop led by an expert in human interaction.
Over the course of 6 weeks, you’ll read Blindspot: Hidden Biases of Good People and How to Be an Antiracist. You’ve likely seen these books everywhere lately, but it can be intimidating to wade into them on your own.
Rest assured: we all have blindspots, and we are all learning. Using two seminal texts, this hybrid course will include both instruction and discussion on the topic of why blindspots exist and how they contribute to societal problems. This group will be a safe place to discover and consider your own personal biases, how you might move from awareness to action, and how knowing your own prejudices can make you a better human being.
Registration closes September 22, 2020.
